"All of these songs are about a paucity of truth. At first they may seem to be about other things, but that is just a reflection of how much dishonesty we have accepted in our daily lives. We are raised from birth to believe things that cannot be proven or that are plainly not true. People will often brag of their honesty, when there is so much they have simply chosen to ignore or leave unexamined.
"The fact is, we are terrified of the truth."

This is one of those times Kris when you are thinking way deeper than what I am capable of at this time. It is kind of a no-brainer as far as I am concerned. Of course we are terrified of the truth. Truth is harsh, hurtful and sometimes wonderful. When the truth is wonderful it seems to be fluff truth. Harsh and hurtful is more truthful. Maybe I'm just in need of another "happy pill"! Kristen
I love the truth!
Until it's about me...
substitute 'political campaigns' for 'songs' and it's eerily spooky.
Truth and absolutes in general, are getting to be more scarce than dust on Ted Kennedy's liquor cabinet.
