Thankful for beautiful sunshine today as I set out to meet my neighbors and ask for their votes for city council. Here's what I learned in this adventure:
1. Carry tissues, it's cold and your nose is going to run
2. Wear less clothing than you think you need, you're going to get warm
3. Get some serious lip stuff, they're going to get dry
4. People love Lincoln as much as I do and are generally happy here
I will keep these, and many other things I hope to learn along the way, upper most as I walk the rest of the city over the next 3 short months to the primary.

Good work! Good lessons! I think they apply to all of life in addition to just running for city council. At least, the tissue one does.
